Nubar Amethyst

I’ve had this polish for quite some time now, but it’s the second time I’m actually using it.

It’s part of the Royal Gems collection released by Nubar for fall 2009 (so yeah, it’s old ) and it’s the only polish I have from this collection.

I love the formula, not too thick, not too runny, just nice and easy to apply. It’s also a breeze to clean if I get some on my skin. So why haven’t I worn this? Because it’s a top coat eater! After 2 coats of top coat it still feels gritty.

The colour in the photos is not very accurate, it’s a little more towards purple (but I guess it’s camera shy because it doesn’t come up at all) but that’s the best I got.

It has really beautiful red and blue microglitter but it’s visible only up close (you can see it in the above picture if you click on it and look at the bottle). Here’s a detail to understand what I’m talking about:

Getting past the fact that it’s rather gritty, I actually like it!
